HEALTH IMPACT ASSESSMENT 2009 ROTTERDAM OCTOBER 14-16
Health Impact Assessment is a way to identify how policies, programmes and projects from non-health sectors influence the health of a population. It brings together partners from the community, voluntary, state and private sectors in order to help develop healthy public policies. Since Health Impact Assessment includes looking at the distribution of the health impacts over different population groups it is also a helpful tool to help reduce health inequalities. |

-ON THE MOVE-

| The HIA '09 is an annual international conference. This year's theme is: 'On the move'. We will discuss matters such as: - how to move health higher up on the policy agendas
- how to move on from incidental HIA's to institutionalization
- how to move on to better integration of HIA in a Health In All Policies approach, trying to create win-win situations for health as well as for other sectors.
This year abstracts relevant to the theme 'On The Move' such as transport, physical exercise and migration, are especially welcomed. |
