The committee - Veronica Birley, Joop ten Dam and Ingrid Bakker (chair) - judged the quality of the abstracts, the posters' relevance, completeness and attractiveness and whether or not the poster was communicating its message. The authors from the three posters with the highest scores were: - 3rd: Sue Write and colleagues from West Midlands Public Health Observatory (UK), with their poster ‘North Staffordshire "Streetcar" Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) Scheme: Health Impact Assessment (2009)'. - 2nd: Edmund Seto and colleagues from University of California, Berkeley (USA), with their poster ‘San Francisco Public Housing Redevelopment HIA: Mixed quantitative/ qualitative HIA methods for housing redevelopment'. - 1st: David Berglund from the Swedish National Institute of Public Health (Sweden), with his poster ‘HIA development in de 21 Swedish County Administrative Boards'.
